American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP)

Harris County has been allocated $4.4 million in Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). To receive this funding, Harris County must submit a substantial amendment (Amendment) to the Consolidated Plan 2008 Annual Action Plan to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The public comment period for this Amendment is April 21, 2009 – May 5, 2009. Comments will be included in the final Amendment to HUD.

Following approval from HUD, Harris County anticipates releasing a Request for Proposal (RFP) in late summer 2009 to allocate the funding.
