To be eligible for the Downpayment Assistance Program (DAP), the applicant and/or co-applicant must complete a homeownership education course prior to application for HUD assistance.  Below is a limited list of local HUD approved counseling agencies.  A complete list nationally can be obtained through HUD’s web site at http://www.hud.gov/    Call the agencies near your for their schedules and fees.
